I learned a lot about my writing this semester. One of the first things that I learned is, the importance of re-writing. When writing drafts I would just write and then check for grammatical errors and be done. I took a whole new look on drafting, yet I still wrote something and wanted to be done. I found myself coming up with new ideas and others reading my work came up with some ideas for me as well. Although the same ideas were still ringing in my ear and it was hard at some points to come up with new ones. The essay writing process for me completly changed and I think, for the better. Also I learned that when I let my mom revise/read my paper she always corrects my writing wanting me to put it in the passive voice, poor woman. One last important thing that I learned this semester is that the writing center online is very helpful. Going to school and working I do not have a lot of time for much of anything. It was so amazing that I can submit my paper and tell them what I have trouble with and they totally help you out. This was a great tool that I was happy to discover.
